I've been working in education 13 years now!

What I love most about teaching kindergarten is watching my students grow; seeing their confidence bloom, their curiosity spark, and their pride when something finally clicks! It is such a joy to be a part of their very first school experiences.

What sets our kindergarten team apart is our shared belief that strong relationships are the foundation of learning. We prioritize connection with students, families, and each other, which creates a supportive and joyful environment where our students can thrive.

Kimberly Leazier

I have been teaching for 15 years, and I returned to Finley Farms this year after having taught at a previous school for the past 9 years. I taught at Finley over 10 years ago, and it has been wonderful coming "home". 

I love teaching kindergarten because it is a year full of wonder, growth and discovery.  Every day, I get to witness a child learning something for the very first time. Their joy and excitement remind me why education matters! 

Our Kindergarten team is special because we work together sharing ideas, resources and strategies for reaching the needs of our students. We rely on each other for encouragement and problem-solving.  

Kindergarten is where the adventure of learning begins!

I have been a Kindergarten teacher for 26 years. This is my 13th year in Gilbert Public Schools and my first year at Finley Farms. I love how young and genuine our kinder students are. How they listen to every word you say. They learn so much in their first year of school, and it is so great to see them grow. 

Kindergarten at Finley Farms is all about teaching the whole child. We focus on more than just academics because we understand there are a lot more pieces to them. We also offer an Accelerated Kindergarten program for those kids who learn more quickly than others and can keep up with a faster pace.

This is my 32nd year teaching, and 16th in Kindergarten. 

What I love about Kindergarten is how everything feels exciting to students. Their enthusiasm, joy, and curiosity make discovering something new magical to watch. They are brutally honest in the best way, telling you exactly what they are thinking; yet they are eager to please and full of love. Being a part of such a meaningful and life-changing time in their world is an incredible gift.

We have such a great team and Finley Farms Elementary. We work together, support each other, and celebrate each child's progress. We collaborate closely to help each child feel known, cared for, and excited to learn.

In Kindergarten, KINDNESS is our superpower!
