I am truly honored to serve as the principal of Finley Farms Elementary. As a second-generation educator, I have had the pleasure of working in the field of education for the past 30 years in a variety of capacities. I started my career in Maryland and taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades prior to moving to Arizona. Since moving to Arizona I have worked in Gilbert as a teacher and as an administrator. I taught 2nd and 4th grade at Ashland Ranch for 14 years and then taught 7th and 8th grade English at South Valley Junior for five years. Since moving into administration I've served as the Dean of Students at Ashland Ranch, Meridian, Global Academy, and Desert Ridge Junior, and assistant principal at Greenfield Elementary.
Becoming an administrator was a dream of mine. I watched my mother successfully serve as a principal for 20 years in Maryland and I knew I wanted to move into administration. I want to help carry on the tradition of fostering relationships with students, staff, and parents that will last a lifetime and lead a school where all students achieve success.
On a personal note, I have two children that fill my heart with joy. Both of my children are products of Gilbert Public Schools from preschool through high school.
Finley Farms is known for its educational excellence and family atmosphere. I look forward to continuing to work with the staff and community to further this legacy of success.
